Please carefully read the following information prior to completing and submitting your appeal.The international student commitment fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable. You may appeal the refund or transfer of your commitment fee for the following reasons: Your study permit or visa was denied by IRCC. After reasonable effort, you have been unable to register into the required courses in your program due to course unavailability. You had no intention to further study at the College and the balance on your account was automatically transferred to the next semester. If you are appealing for a commitment fee refund based on graduation, suspension, or another compelling reason not included in the above list, please complete a student appeal request form and submit the form to appeals@langara.ca along with a letter of explanation and supporting documentation (if applicable). International Education Appeals Committee reviews all appeal requests pertaining to the $1,500 commitment fee. Commitment fee appeals are considered on a case-by-case basis and approval is not guaranteed. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of all rules, regulations and deadlines to complete course withdrawal and appeal procedures.
