STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

The Hub: Volunteer through VOLT
The Hub coordinates fun and engaging programming beyond the classroom that builds leaders and community at the same time. Here students find creative ways to meet and engage with each other by starting or joining a club, finding volunteer opportunities, or joining the GO Team or the E-Team to take part in student-run events like peer-to-peer networking, games nights, talent shows, and cooking classes.

Back to School
Make the best out of your back-to-school experience by getting involved with Orientation and Semester Kickoff. These fun and informative events include great music, entertainment, back to school deals, a department fair, prizes, and more.

Work hard. Play even harder.
Are you a team player? Whether you are a spectator or a member of the team, come and spread the Falcon’s team spirit. Want to stay active? Kick a soccer ball or bat around a badminton birdie during intramurals.

Catch a Show.
Do you love theatre? We do. Enjoy outstanding productions from our Theatre Arts program, Studio 58. All six productions this year capture a spirit of rebirth, of reckoning, of celebrating humanity. With these events let us feel again, be together again, and run wildly into a reawakening of the soul.

Community Cupboard
To support fellow students who are feeling the financial “pinch” of post-secondary, the Langara College Foundation, Financial Aid, Langara Students’ Union, and the Office for Student Engagement has joined forces to help fill the Langara Community Cupboard, an on-campus food bank program which addresses the issue of food insecurity among our students.
It’s a great time to be part of the Langara community.
Once you become a Langara student, you join a community. You will find yourself making connections that will last a lifetime.
