Starting college is a big step, and asking for help is okay. Langara offers a range of student services to help you get the most out of your college experience.
Good advice.
If you want to talk about program options, our recruiters can help you decide what is right for you. Have questions about how to get into the program of your choice? Admissions advisors can walk you through the admissions process and help you succeed. Email us at advisor@langara.ca.
Reach your goals.
The Counselling department is free for current students to use and offers counselling services focused on personal, educational, and career needs. You can get support for your educational goals while you study by attending student success workshops and course planning sessions offered online.
Stretch your finances.
Eligible students can apply for bursaries, scholarships, and entrance awards to supplement school and day-to-day expenses. Or apply for emergency loans, student loans (domestic students), grants, and student work assistance programs. Talk to us about how you can fund your education. Get support.
Accessibility Services provides support and guidance on a case-by-case basis to arrange appropriate services and accommodations. Check out the Accessibility Services website for more information. the Accessibility Services website.
Study smarter.
The Learning Commons houses the Writing and Tutoring Centre and offers research services, learning support, and tools to enhance learning. Find tutoring support and tailored academic help in many subject areas. All services are free and available to Langara students through the Langara Library. The Math & Stats Activity Centre is a place to gather and get support for math and statistics problems.
Career resources.
The Co-op and Career Development Centre is a place to access career workshops, résumé review, interview coaching, and attend a variety of employer events to explore your career options.
Student advocacy.
The Langara Students’ Union advocates for students in their academic pursuits and on other social issues around the world. The LSU hosts events and provides other services for students from the LSU building, which is a great place to get something to eat or relax between classes.

The Hub.
Home to the Office for Student Engagement, the Hub is your place to connect with activities and resources across campus. Learn about the VOLT Volunteer program, student clubs, and leadership opportunities. Find creative ways to meet and engage with each other by starting or joining a club, or joining the GO Team or the E-Team to take part in student-run events. The lounge has televisions, chargers, and computer stations.
Community Cupboard.
To support fellow students who are feeling the financial “pinch” of post-secondary, the Langara College Foundation, Financial Aid, Langara Students’ Union, and the Office for Student Engagement has joined forces to help fill the Langara Community Cupboard, an on-campus food bank program which addresses the issue of food insecurity among our students.
Indigenous Education and Services.
The Indigenous Gathering Space assists and promotes academic success for Indigenous students. Cultural support is available from our Elder-in-residence. Indigenous students have access to academic advising, educational and personal counselling, and application support for funding. The Gathering Space has a lounge, group study space, computer lab, and kitchen facilities. To contact IES, call 604.323.5043 or email indigenous@langara.ca.
International Student Services.
Langara Global has a dedicated team to help with everything from student activities and medical insurance to general questions about life in Vancouver. Immigration consultants and advisors can answer questions on study permits and student work permits. Join us for a virtual information session, or meet us at a drop-in advising session.
