STUDENT SERVICES
Starting college is a big step, and it’s okay to ask for help. Langara offers a range of student services to help you get the most out of your college experience.

Get good advice.
Looking for admissions or program advice? Not sure of your options? Langara admissions advisors can answer your questions and walk you through the admissions process to help you succeed. Email us at advisor@langara.ca.

Reach your goals.
Counselling services are available to current students and focus on personal, educational, and career needs. You can get support for your educational goals while you study by attending student success workshops and course planning sessions offered online.

Stretch your finances.
Eligible students can apply for bursaries, scholarships, and awards to supplement school and day-to-day expenses. If you’re worried about how to stretch your finances, let us help you relieve some stress! Email Financial Aid at finaid@langara.ca.

Study smarter.
The Learning Commons houses the Writing and Tutoring Centre. It is designed to be a one-stop shop for services and tools to help enhance your learning. Find tutoring support and tailored academic help in many subject areas. All services are free and available to Langara students through the Langara Library.

We're accessible.
Are you a student with a disability seeking academic accommodations or other support services? We are here to help! Accessibility Services provides support services to students with disabilities on a case-by-case basis. Check out the Accessibility Services website for more information.

Online services
We continually recreate ourselves.
In response to the challenges of social distancing, our student services are also delivered online and we have created new virtual learning supports including:

Indigenous Education and Services
Indigenous students can connect in the Gathering Space where they have access to events and workshops, academic advising, educational and personal counselling, advocacy and liaison support, and assistance with transitioning into post-secondary. Cultural support is also available from our Elders-in-residence. To contact IES call 604.323.5043 or email indigenous@langara.ca.

International Student Services
Langara Global has a dedicated team to help with everything from student activities and medical insurance to general questions about life in Vancouver. Immigration consultants and advisors can answer questions on study permits and student work permits. Join us for a virtual information session, or meet us at an online education fair, to learn more about the options available to you. On most weekdays an international student advisor is available for drop-in advising sessions. International student engagement opportunities are available here.
