Smoke-Free Campus Update
This past February/March, members of the Langara Community (students, faculty, staff) were asked for their opinion on Langara moving towards a 100% smoke-free campus and about the creation of designated smoking areas (DSA’s) on campus. A total of 2,527 surveys were completed and a total of 854 additional comments were received.
Preliminary results show:
- 74% support moving towards a smoke-free campus
- 39% support the creation of DSA’s
The next phase of the project involves further thematic data analysis as well as further consultation and ongoing engagement with the Langara Community.
