Langara nursing students represent at ARNBC AGM

This month, Term 8 Nursing students Andrew Yan and Agnes Yuen won an ARNBC Innovation Award at the Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (ARNBC) Annual General Meeting for their project the Patient View, working in partnership with the BC Cancer Agency. This project, originating out of BC Children’s Hospital, is designed to identify safety concerns from the unique perspective of patients and their families. The data collected helps to inform actions to improve patient safety and quality of care. The students were successful in raising awareness of the Patient View project among other Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) agencies. PHSA agencies were excited to work with Langara students, which helps to re-inforce our belief that all aspects of the Nursing program delivery are outstanding. Mr. Yan and Ms Yuen demonstrated their leadership skills by conducting this research with professionalism and confidence. Congratulations to them on winning this award.
