Major renovations in A Building

Starting in September 2017, extensive renovations will begin for the vacated chemistry, physics, and biology labs on the second and third floors of A Building. This will be the first of three major renovations in the upcoming 18 months.

The renovation of the vacated chemistry lab will create space for four new 40-seat classrooms as well as new studio spaces for Studio 58 Theatre Arts and Fine Arts. After the chemistry lab, Facilities will begin work on the physics and biology labs to create additional spaces.

To minimize disruption the contractor will be instructed to perform the noisiest work early in the morning and noise will be prohibited during the exam schedule. Updates will continue to be posted on the Langara Post under “Operational Updates”.

We ask for your patience as we carry out these much needed renovations in order to create more classroom and support space.
