Goods Swap

The Goods Swap is back. In the summer of 2016, a group of students in ECON 1119 organized the first Goods Swap at Langara College. A Goods Swap is intended to establish a community of sharing and reusing while reducing waste.

Langara’s next Goods Swap happens on Wednesday September 27 (9 am – 3 pm) in the main foyer of Building A.

This an opportunity for you to declutter your home and to share your unwanted goods with our students and co-workers while supporting Vancouver’s Greenest City 2020 initiative.

Donations of books, DVDs, CDs, games, toys, sports equipment, small kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils, cookware, decorations, bath and bed items, small electronic devices, artwork, clothing and jewelry will be accepted. All items need to be clean and in good working condition. Household items are particularly popular with our International Students.

If you have items to donate, please contact Fulton (ftom@langara.ca), who will send you a reminder.

You can bring your donation to the A building foyer on the day of the Goods Swap or make arrangements for earlier delivery.

Those getting items at the Goods Swap are encouraged to give a monetary donation to the Langara College Foundation to support the Environmental Studies Bursary.
