SUPPORT OUR STUDENTS THIS MARCH
March is Support Our Students month at Langara! Last year, employees helped to raise over $134,000 in direct financial, academic, and experiential supports for Langara students. Help us celebrate employee giving and SOS again this year and attend an event, make a donation or host an event within your department.

Do you have what it takes to be the ultimate Langara cook?
Here’s your chance to find out! Sign up to compete in Langara Cooks on Thursday, March 8. You’ll feed 100 guests in a food festival style event. Guests will vote on their favourite meal and the winner will be announced at the SOS silent auction on Tuesday, March 27. Individuals and departments can compete in this not-to-miss competition.
To register as a competitor, email csander@langara.ca or rnoel@langara.ca by Thursday, February 22. Space is limited.
Get your pig for the 2018 SOS Piggy Pageant!
Get a group together, the more the merrier! Gather with your department to work on your piggy. Decorate your pig – go hog-wild collecting funds for the SOS Campaign! You will be responsible to truck your piggy to all SOS events throughout the month of March. (Mar 1, 8, 21 and 27) – the more events the piggy attends, the more chances you have to collect donations. The piggy that raises the highest total donations over the course of the SOS Campaign will be declared the winner.

Can you or your department help donate items for the Silent Auction?
The Silent Auction event was a huge success last year and we want your help to make it even better this year. Can your department help contribute an item/s for this year’s auction? Inspire your co-workers, work together to create a department-themed basket/gift for auctioning. Be it gift cards/certificates, experiential opportunity, or a timeshare getaway, every contribution counts in providing more support for our students. Consider donating an item, or experience, to the 2018 SOS Silent Auction.
