2018 National Nursing Week

Langara College is proud to celebrate and acknowledge National Nursing Week 2018. Nursing Week draws attention to our nurses, to recognize the year-round dedication and achievements of Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and to increase public awareness of their contributions to the well-being of Canadians. This year, Nursing Week runs from May 7 to May 13.

The theme this year is #YesThisIsNursing, which speaks to the expanding traditional and non-traditional roles, settings and sectors nurses work in, as well as the unique opportunities for our profession presented by social media and emerging tech trends.

On Thursday, May 10, Langara is hosting the CRNBC Student Documentation Workshop, followed by presenters Dr. Sally Thorne, PhD, RN, DSc (Hon) from UBC, Dr. Jennifer Baumbusch, PhD, RN from UBC, and Dr. Nancy Clark, PhD, RN from UVIC.
