Meet our new EA – VP, External Development

We are pleased to announce that Lucy Smith joined Langara on July 10, 2018 on a permanent full-time basis; and is supporting Ajay Patel, Vice-President of External Development. Lucy has a strong background in in a number of areas, including being the Executive Assistant to the Pro Vice Chancellor (Student Experience) and Faculty Manager at the University of Chichester (Chichester, UK), Research Degrees Administrator at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (Brighton, UK).  Since arriving in Canada, Lucy has served in temporary Executive Assistant roles at Community Living BC, BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS and City of Vancouver.  Lucy obtained her Bachelor’s degree (first class honours) in Music Business and Management from the University of Brighton and recently completed her Master’s degree in English at the Open University (Milton Keyes, UK).

Lucy is delighted to return to the education sector and looks forward to getting involved with our numerous projects and college initiatives.  We have no doubt she will be an excellent asset to the External Development team and the College.
