At Langara, we encourage all of our employees to maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. We recognize it can be difficult to stay active, get out for a walk, or exercise throughout the day. With the new semester in progress why not cycle to work, sign up for one of our fall wellness classes or reach out to a colleague through our walking forum?
Another alternative that we are excited to announce is a new employee wellness space! We have made G103a available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm for employee use. The goal of this initiative is to provide employees a space on campus where they can have the option to complete mat exercises, practice Yoga, or do stretching exercises, all while on their breaks. Exercise mats will be available for use and additional equipment may be purchased, based on the popularity of this program.
We want to take this time to remind our employees that showers are available in G building, C building, and in the underground parkade by the secure bike cage. In addition, a locker & towel service is offered through the Facility Assistant located in G004.
