Oct 29 & Nov 2 – Day of the Dead
Celebrate Day of the Dead at Langara College. On the Day of the Dead, Mexicans celebrate the lives of the dead by visiting gravesites of their ancestors and creating altars that honour loved ones who have passed. Drop by for sweet tunes, traditional Mexican sweets, face painting and elaborate altars. Everyone is welcome.

1:00 pm–4:00 pm: Come visit an authentic Day of the Dead altar at the office of Stacey Collins, Spanish instructor and Chair of Modern Languages. Try some traditional pan de muertos, have a cup of colada morada and learn more about this Mexican celebration that honours the memory of the deceased.
