Save the date: APAG #2 Annual Forum on Student Support

The Academic Plan Action Group is pleased to invite all faculty and instructional staff to a peer to peer conversation on some of the recent student support initiatives underway on campus. Online registration for this event will open soon. Lunch will be provided.

Location: L224 (Study Lounge on the 2nd floor of the L building)

Come learn more and share your experience in a World Café style forum. Topics on the agenda include:

  • Getting a Sense of Belonging at the HUB hosted by Reba Noel (Manager, Student Engagement)
  • Student Success Course Progression hosted by Daryl Smith (Intercultural Initiatives Coordinator) and Deb Park (Student Success Course Coordinator)
  • Learning Strategist Pilot Project hosted by Joyce Wong (Librarian)
  • Work Integrated Learning and Co-op Education Initiatives hosted by Jennifer Reid (Instructor, Co-op & Career Development Centre)
  • Admissions Review Project hosted by Troy Hanschen [to be confirmed]
  • Student Mental Health:
    • Mental Health Resource Folder (an extensive guide on how to deal with students in distress)  hosted by Tanya Miller (Mental Health Initiatives Coordinator)
    • Counselling Services hosted by Merike Bruen (Counsellor)
