2018 Langara Health & Wellness Fair – Recap
The Langara Health & Wellness Fair took place on November 14th and encouraged participants to celebrate healthy habits and wellness. It was jointly hosted by Health Services and People Services and this was the first year the fair was open to both students and employees; the busiest fair on record with over 400 participants!
This year’s fair also marked a number of milestones for the College. These included the signing of the Okanagan Charter, a commitment to promoting wellness on campus and the launch of Langara’s first Mental Health Framework. The framework focuses on protecting and promoting mental health and well-being across the Langara community. Tanya Miller, Mental Health Initiatives Consultant will continue to work with the committee to champion this initiative.
Lastly, we want to thank all the participating vendors, volunteers, employees and students who participated in making the fair such a great success! Check out the photos from the event.
