Cliff, Sally & MC With Texture

Jan 31–Feb 24: Studio 58 presents Cabaret

Studio 58 at Langara College, presents Cabaret, directed by Studio 58 alumnus Josh Epstein.

This Tony Award-winning musical from John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Joe Masteroff is a wild, risqué, and sultry exploration of the Kit Kat Klub in 1930s Berlin and about following your heart while the world loses its way.

Come hear some of the most memorable songs in theatre history, including “Cabaret,” “Willkommen”, and “Maybe This Time.”

The show opens January 31 and coincides with the Studio 58 Annual Giving Campaign.

About CABARET

It’s 1929 and young American writer Cliff Bradshaw has just arrived in Berlin, a city where the party never ends. At the notorious Kit Kat Klub he meets the beguiling chanteuse Sally Bowles and his life is turned upside down forever. Meanwhile, Hitler’s tyrannical politics are rising fast — Cliff’s German landlady Fraulein Schneider and Jewish grocer Herr Schultz must face an impending harsh reality, and even the Kit Kat Klub’s gender-bending Emcee must acknowledge the riotous voices of a new Germany.
