IT Update: Banner is down (Update: restored)

We have been experiencing technical issues with our servers since Friday morning and we are working to resolve the issue with our providers as quickly as possible. During this time, there will be no access to the following systems:

  • Banner (Student records, Finance, HR system)
  • myLangara Portal

We will share progress updates below. Thank you for your patience.

February 3 at 4:50pm : Internal testing is complete and systems have been restored.  We will continue to closely monitor the situation.

February 3 at 2:00pm : Internal testing is currently underway.

February 3 at 12:00pm : We are currently implementing a plan to bring back services and will be testing this afternoon.  Services are expected to be restored this evening.

February 3 at 9am:  We have made significant progress through the night and we were able to successfully restore some back-end services. We continue to work with our service provider on an action plan to restore all services.

February 2 at 9:30pm:  We are continuing to actively pursue a solution with our service provider. In parallel, we are also working on a contingency plan to restore services.

February 2 at 10:45am: Throughout the night we have been in contact with our service provider and are still working with them to resolve the issue.

February 1 at 5:15pm: We are in contact with our service provider and working to diagnose the issue.

February 1 at 3:45pm: We are waiting for support from our service provider.
