Langara hosting CCAA Nationals & debuting Musqueam uniform

The 2019 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championships, hosted by Langara, is around the corner! The competition will take place March 13 – 16 at the Langley Events Centre (LEC) and will see the Falcons debuting their new uniforms featuring our Musqueam name, snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓.

Langara was honoured with the name snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓, which means house of teachings in the Musqueam language, in January 2016. We are excited to incorporate our important relationship with Musqueam into our athletics community.

“As we continue to strengthen our relationship with the Musqueam people, celebrate our Beyond 49 campaign, and very soon showcase the best of CCAA Men’s Basketball, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to incorporate and proudly honour the snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ name on our uniforms,” said Jake McCallum, Director, Athletics & Intramurals.

We hope you will join us at the Langley Events Centre and show your Falcons spirit during the championships – games begin on March 14 with Langara playing in Game 4 and tipping off at 7:30 pm.
