March 1 – Vancouver District Science Fair

Langara welcomes on March 1 the Vancouver District Science Fair for the seventh consecutive year. Hosted by Langara’s Faculty of Science, the VDSF is a district-wide public event where Vancouver public school students in grades 7 to 12 share their science projects. Students gain valuable hands-on experience in a wide range of topics related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. During the fair, the students participate in hands-on breakout sessions and demonstrations, taught by our faculty members.

The fair also enables participants to meet students and members of the scientific community that they might not meet otherwise — industry professionals, graduate students, and college faculty. Student projects are evaluated by a judging panel and the finalists earn a spot at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair in April at UBC.

Participants and invited public will be arriving at the College on Friday, March 1, from 3 pm onwards. Please be advised that this event might impact parking traffic and spots availability. The main venues are the Gymnasium and T Building Gallery.
