Mar 13 – Naloxone workshop

Prevent overdose – learn naloxone. Free workshop for faculty and staff hosted by the LFA. Participants will learn how the opioid crisis affects the Langara community and how to prevent overdose. Everyone who attends will gain hands-on skills and receive a naloxone kit and certificate from the Take Home Naloxone (THN) program. Naloxone is a medication that reverses overdose. The session will be taught by Garth Mullins, a member of several DTES community groups who has been on the frontline of response to the overdose crisis and by Lisa Hale, a faculty member in Sociology and IDS.
