Interim VP, External Development

Dear Colleagues,

As a follow up to my message on March 20, 2019, I wanted to update you all on the approach we will take to support the units in the External Development portfolio until a new permanent Vice-President, External Development is hired.

 

It is my pleasure to announce that Lisa Fisher has accepted the position of Vice-President, External Development on an interim basis. Lisa has been with Langara for six years as our Director, Communications and Marketing (C&M). She has more than 18 years experience in higher education, including nine years in UBC’s International Student Initiative, and a MSc in Global Marketing. In her new role, she will provide continuity  and support for several areas of the College: International Education, Continuing Studies, Institutional Research, Advancement, and C&M.

Lisa and Ajay will work closely together with the Directors and Deans in the portfolio over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition. I’d like to thank Lisa for accepting this new challenge.

I want to thank Ajay once again for his contributions to the College and wish him the best of luck in his new role. I hope you will all join us at his farewell event on April 25. More information about that event and the RSVP form are in The Post.
