FAQ: Mailroom services

Looking for office supplies? Can’t find your mailbox? Are you in charge of mailing out your department’s mail? Please see the list below for solutions to frequently asked mailroom questions and click on the links provided for more information.

1. I’m looking to mail things out, how do I do so?

Before dropping off your mail to the mailroom for processing, please read the article on Canada Post Guidelines and Restrictions to make sure your mail gets to its destination properly and smoothly.

Please note: mail outs that have 100 pieces and over are classified as large mail outs; and follow a different procedure than regular mail outs. All details are in the article linked above.

2. Help! I can’t find my mailbox or the office supply request forms. What should I do?

A map of the new mailroom layout is displayed on the corkboard above the photocopiers and on the sorting table for your reference. Be sure to check it out if you are having problems finding supplies (e.g. exam booklets, print shop course pick-ups and office supply request forms) in the mailroom.

Please see the New Mailroom Layout article for more information on mailbox locations and much more.

3. Why are there signs about closing the mailroom doors?

It is important to keep confidential mail, exams and essays in the mailroom safe by keeping doors closed at all times. We appreciate your cooperation with this matter.
