Creative Arts & Industries at Community Day
Creative Arts and Industries is excited to be part of Community Day presented by RBC Royal Bank on June 15.
Our departments will be offering a range entertaining and engaging activities showcasing the talent and creativity of our programs. We are also looking forward to welcoming former creative arts students and employees back to campus for a series of homecoming events.
Below is a summary of activities on the day.
Homecomings:

Makerspace – Upcycle a T-shirt (A Building Breezeway)
Join Philip and Don as they Make Things Better by giving second-hand t-shirts a new lease on life using the Makerspace vinyl cutter and heat press.
Film Arts – Student Film Marathon (A122a)
Get some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy student films from Film Arts.
Film Arts – Screen Test (Langara Student Union)
Green screen action in the LSU! Take a screen test with the Film Arts program.
Studio 58 – Shangri-Langara: The Play (around campus)
Be part of a roving stage production with Studio 58.
Professional Photography – Family Photos (Library overhang)
Have a professional portrait taken with our Photography program.
Journalism – Expert Panel (T Building Gallery) and Mad Libs Reporting (A136a)
Join the expert journalism panel for a lively discussion and then have fun with “mad libs-styled” reporting and a fake news game.
