Study Abroad Field Schools – summer 2020

On behalf of the Provost and Vice President, Academic and Students Ben Cecil, and the Academic Deans (Gerda Krause, Julie Longo, Ryan Cawsey, Ann Syme, and myself) I am delighted to announce the following Study Abroad Fields School will be offered Summer 2020:

Thailand & Korea Field School:  Kenneth Wong, Langara School of Management & Avram Agov, Asian Studies. The itinerary may include the possible addition of a location in Vietnam.  Kenneth is an experienced field school leader with extensive experience and contacts in South East Asia, and Avram is an internationally recognized Korean scholar.

They will offer nine credits: INTB 2000 (Introduction to International Business), ASIA 1130 (Introduction to Southeast Asia) and ASIA 3386 (Asian Century: Modern Korea).

European Field Studies: Katrina Erdos, Department of Geography, and Jennifer Knapp, Classical Studies and History Department are both experienced field school leaders who will be leading a Field School to Italy.

They will offer six credits: GEOG 1195 (Exploring Italian Landscapes, Culture and Tourism) and CLST 2276 (Greek and Roman Art and Archaeology).
