The 2018-21 Mental Health Framework and accompanying Mental Health Resource Folder to assist students and peers in distress are now available in myLangara for employee use!
The Framework includes specific commitments to invest in the mental health and well-being of the campus community into 2020-21, such as increasing training opportunities, developing a peer support program, and providing after-hours support.
The Resource Folder is a step-by-step guide to Listen, Respect, and Refer when supporting someone in distress. It includes suggested questions to ask and behaviour to be aware of, as well as a comprehensive list of campus and community services and resources organized by level of need.
This work is championed by the Mental Health Advisory Committee, a multi-disciplinary group of staff, faculty, students, and senior leadership who are passionate about mental health and enriching the lives of our colleagues and students.
