Sherri Sadler

Studio 58 news

As the new school year begins, we announce the following staff and faculty updates.

Sherri Sadler
A milestone for Studio 58 occurs this semester. Sherri Sadler, who has managed the marketing at Studio 58 for thirty-three years, is moving on. During her time here, Sherri has been a major contributor to the reputation of our department. She has excelled in promoting Studio 58 productions, working closely with the best marketing and photographic talents in Vancouver. Sherri has always been on the leading edge of communications and marketing. For instance, she made sure Studio 58 had its own website, long before there was one for Langara College. She has also been a devoted cheerleader and advocate for our multi-generational alumni. Many graduates have used the lessons they learned on Sherri’s publicity crew to promote their own companies and productions. We’re indebted to Sherri and to the huge contribution she has made. It will be felt for many years to come.

Catherine Lee
Studio 58 wishes to thank Catherine Lee for her lifetime contribution to teaching movement at Studio 58. Catherine, or “CLee” as she is affectionately known as, brought an array of movement techniques to her students, including baroque & renaissance dance. She was highly supportive of the program, and especially her students, who could always count on her for healthy lifestyle tips and extra TLC. We thank her for her phenomenal 40 years of service!

Linda Pitt
Linda Pitt has joined us as Publicity and Administrative Coordinator. Linda comes directly from her job as Digital Marketing Coordinator for the Arts Club Theatre Company. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Simon Fraser University and a Master in International Arts Management from Southern Methodist University & HEC Montréal. Previous theatre work in Vancouver has included various roles with Pi Theatre, The Frank Theatre Company, and Resounding Scream Theatre. We welcome Linda and her artistic and administrative expertise.

Kevin MacDonald
Kevin MacDonald officially begins as the Technical Director this month, replacing recently retired Bruce Kennedy. An alumnus of Studio 58’s Acting Program, Kevin is a well-established, nationally-renowned professional theatre artist in his own right. He has worked in many of the major theatres across Canada including Soulpepper, Bard on the Beach, Alberta Theatre Projects, and Neworld Theatre, among others. He has been a Workshop Coordinator for our department in the past and we are over the moon to be able to welcome him in as a permanent staff member.
