RSAF2: Teaching release for scholarly development
The Scholarly Activity Steering Committee (SASC) is pleased to announce two Research and Scholarly Activity Fund 2 (INTZ RSAF2 and RSAF2). SASC has long heard from faculty that to support applied research and social innovation, the college must make available section release allowing faculty to pursue research. These RSAF2s will provide section release for the successful applicants to undertake research during a teach term and corresponding NID period.
INTZ RSAF2
1) SASC will make one (1) award (INTZ RSAF) of one section (1/8 FTE), in the Spring Term (January 01 2020 – April 30 2020), to a continuing or regular faculty member who will focus on higher education internationalization topics (see Langara’s Internationalization Strategy) and:
- write a related proposal for an external grant or
- build related capacity such that the research program is ready to compete for an external grant
