Changes coming your way

We would like to share an update on several projects that are all converging over the next few weeks. Project teams from Information Technology, Communications & Marketing, and Workday@Langara have been working hard to ensure that we are communicating and collaborating with faculty and staff to improve and update our systems.

Here is a summary of the changes that are taking place between October 28, 2019 – January 6, 2020. Please take a few minutes to read these updates so you are prepared for the changes that are coming up.

The big changes:

2-Factor Authentication (2FA) | November 18

  • Please make sure you’re set up for 2FA by November 8. 2FA begins November 18.
  • Get your app set up – you might win an iPad Pro. Thank you to Langara Foundation for this donation!

New myLangara site | November 18

Workday@Langara | January 6

  • All employees will use Workday to manage their personal information and complete Finance and People and Culture tasks (expense claims, vacation requests, etc.).
  • Student Information (class lists, etc.) will continue to be accessible through Banner.
  • Demo series on now (register online) and training runs Nov. 25 to Dec. 6.
  • Keep an eye out for key dates and deadlines in November/December.

Other updates: is moving to LinkedIn Learning | October 28-29

  • is moving to LinkedIn Learning on October 28, and will be available by noon on Oct 29. Information for employees

Student email has moved to O365 | October 28


Connect with us in person:

  • Book a department presentation. IT, C&M, and Workday@Langara, have visited over 50 departments in the past six months to inform people of the changes that are coming soon. If you’d like us to come to your next department meeting, please email
  • Attend an information session. We are hosting two Fall Changes information sessions on Nov 6 & 7. There will be coffee and cookies!
  • Visit our IT pop-up booth. Find us in the Employee Lounge, November 4 – 8, 11am – 1pm. We can answer any questions you have and help set up the 2FA app on your phone.
