Pacific Blue Cross – July 14 service update
Pacific Blue Cross has experienced a work stoppage by their 600 unionized staff. Please note that services and service levels could temporarily be impacted.
- During the strike, the Member Service call center will no longer be operational but many questions can be answered on CARESnet.
- Online and mobile app claims are not affected and continued to be processed.
- Paper claims are being received, opened, date stamped and stored securely onsite. When work resumes they will be processed in accordance with any claiming deadlines.
- The following temporary lines of communications have been opened to deal with urgent member inquiries:
- BC Life – Life and disability case management and payments – bclife@pac.bluecross.ca
- Travel insurance support for active travel policy holders, extensions, or renewals – inhealth@pac.bluecross.ca
