Communications & Marketing staffing update

Communications & Marketing has a couple recent staffing changes. Please visit our website for your specific liaison or more contact information.

We’d like to welcome Travis Smith as our new Manager, Public Affairs. Travis has extensive experience working in higher education at Saint Mary’s University, including media relations, issues management, internal communications, and public affairs projects. Travis is a graduate of Acadia University and the Nova Scotia Community College.

We also welcome Lisa Tuyen, Communications Officer. Lisa is managing Deborah Schratter’s portfolio, including Facilities and Human Resources while Deborah is on leave travelling with her family. Lisa joins us most recently from Encorp Pacific where she worked in program development and marketing for the province-wide Return-It recycling program. Lisa studied at National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan) and Simon Fraser University.

Finally, we thank Carrie Norman, Department Assistant, for her hard work and valuable contributions to our team over the last several months. Carrie helped facilitate our move into B building while integrating new staff herself. She is returning to Alberta and we wish her the very best in her future endeavours.
