Next year, TransLink will launch four new rapid-service B-Line bus routes, including one along the 41st Avenue from Joyce Collingwood to UBC. That means shorter travel times, shorter waits and less crowding. The proposed B-Line will include features like:
- Fewer stops and all-door boarding to improve travel times
- A bus every 3-6 minutes in peak times, and every 10-15 minutes in off-peak times, from 5 a.m. to midnight
- Longer articulated buses to increase capacity and reduce crowding
- Changes to streets to make sure buses don’t get stuck in traffic
More details are available at transLink.ca/bline.
TransLink is currently consulting the public about some of the proposed changes, including:
- Locations of B-Line stops
- Changes to other bus routes in your community
- Changes to streets to keep buses from getting stuck in traffic
