Community Day: Help invite the community

We want all Langarans to join us at Community Day on Saturday, June 15 and we need your help to spread the word! Please help us by doing the following:

1. Share the event on your personal or Langara social media
2. Promote the event in your next class or at your event
3. Include an article in your next newsletter
4. Add Community Day to your department website
5. Send an email to your contacts

Below is a range of resources we’ve prepared to help you promote the event. Do you need help? Contact your Communications Officer or email beyond49@langara.ca. And, don’t forget to mark your own calendar for the event. You won’t want to miss it, we look forward to seeing you there.

Community Day Promotional Toolkit

Community Day presented by RBC Royal Bank on Saturday June 15 will be our largest on-campus celebration in our 49-year history. The key celebration of our 49th anniversary, we want the event to be a homecoming celebration for our students, graduates and employees over the past 49 years.

1. SOCIAL MEDIA

• Share Langara’s Facebook event with your network – Invite your friends and followers to join the Langara Community Day Facebook event
• Create a post on your social media account – Share a new post on your social media accounts. Some suggested copy and images are included below, feel free to make it your own.

2. PROMOTE COMMUNITY DAY AT YOUR EVENT

• Do you have speeches at your event? Mention Community Day in your speaking notes.
  Langara College is currently celebrating 49 years on 49^th Avenue and we want to invite each of you to join us for our largest on-campus celebration on Saturday, June 15 2019. Community Day presented by RBC Royal Bank will feature live entertainment from 54-40 and local artists, food trucks, kids programming, alumni homecoming activities, and so much more. 3. INCLUDE AN ARTICLE IN YOUR NEXT NEWSLETTER

You’re invited to Community Day.
