Get involved – Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28

Today, Tuesday November 28 is Giving Tuesday. A global day of giving, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to give to the causes important to you, and for us to celebrate the act of giving and giving back.

Food insecurity is a significant issue for many students in Canada and we want to help Langara students. The Langara Community Cupboard will provide emergency food packages and other essential items to students in need.

This Giving Tuesday, you can help us stock the cupboard and celebrate Giving Tuesday, here’s how:

Get social – like or share and $1 donated by LSU
We want to get our social media followers involved. In partnership with the Langara Students Union, anyone who follows Langara College on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter can help stock the cupboard today. LSU will donate $1 for every like, share, and comment on our Community Cupboard posts (including the video below), until we reach $2,000.

With a small donation of $20, you can help feed students in need. Every donation we receive online up until December 1 will be matched by the College (until we reach our goal of $5,000), doubling your impact. Donate online now.

Visit us in the A Building and share how you give
Giving Tuesday is also an opportunity for us to celebrate the act of giving and giving back. Join us in the A Building foyer next from 10:30 am. Tell us how you give back, or tell us how you would stock their cupboard if you had $20 for the week.
