Welcoming Christine Speers
People Services is pleased to announce that Christine Speers joined the People Services team on October 9th, 2018. Christine has over 10 years’ experience practicing HR in a unionized environment. Recently, she was employed as a HR Business Consultant for the Ministry of Health for the Government Alberta and prior to this she worked in the global energy industry as a HR Business Partner. Christine’s HR experience also includes working at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her education includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources Management, Business Administration Diploma and Certificate in Human Resources Management.
Christine will report to Sherry Chin-Shue, Director of Human Resources Operations while supporting the following departments:
- Faculty of Science
- College Advancement
- Communications & Marketing
- Financial Services
- Organizational Risk and Internal Controls
- Institutional Research
- Operational Excellence
- Enterprise Resource Planning
