Announcement: Medical Director

Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Christine Singh has joined the Langara and Student Services team as the new Medical Director.

Christine obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the University of British Columbia further gaining her Family Practise Residency and Women’s Health Fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Christine has been a family practitioner since 2004, with a diverse range of skills and experiences working with youth and within indigenous healthcare, making her a great addition to our team. She has worked at Langara for the past 6+ years within our Health Services team initially as an occasional locum, becoming a regular physician within the last 2 years. In addition, Christine is a Board Member of the BC College of Family Physicians and is an active member on the Practise Support Program from the Doctors of BC.

In addition to welcoming Christine, I also want to thank Dr. Claire Talbot for her longstanding and amazing leadership! Claire has been with Health Services since 1998, our Medical Director for the past 15 years, and outstanding colleague to all Langarans – past and present.  Although she is stepping down as the Medical Director, we are grateful that she will be staying on as a physician.
