VP External Development

Dear Colleagues,

It is with mixed emotions I write to let you all know that our friend and colleague Ajay Patel has accepted a role on the senior team at another institution.

In his 17 years at Langara he has made so many contributions to our College, first as an instructor in Kinesiology, then Division Chair of Health Sciences, Dean of International Education, AVP of International and External Development, and in his current role as Vice President, External Development.

Ajay’s last day with us will be on May 3rd, 2019, and we are already working on an interim plan to ensure a smooth transition of his portfolio. I am also working with Jane Mason, Vice-President People and Culture, regarding a search process for a new Vice President, External Development.

I want to sincerely thank Ajay for his service and commitment to Langara and our students. We will soon announce a date for the community to come together and celebrate his contributions to the College. We wish him much success in his new role, and while we will miss him, know that as an alumnus, he will always be a Langaran.
