Director, Internationalization

Dear Colleagues:

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Daryl Smith as the inaugural Director, Internationalization, as of May 1st, 2019.  This newly created position will provide leadership and operational management in the development and implementation of Langara’s Internationalization Strategy.

Having joined Langara in 2006, Daryl brings a wealth of experience and insight to this role.  His most recent position at the College, as Intercultural Initiatives Coordinator in the Teaching and Curriculum Development Centre, allowed Daryl to gain a greater understanding and appreciation of the impact of strategic structural change on students, faculty and staff – knowledge critical to the successful implementation of the Internationalization Strategy.

Before taking on that role, he was an instructor and assistant department chair in the Biology Department.
