Important update: Budget planning 2020/21

Dear Langara College Budget Officers,

The budget building process for the 2020/2021 fiscal year is now starting. Here is a preview of important next steps and changes. More information will come to you via email this week.

Timeline
Budget Building packages will be sent to Budget Officers shortly. Packages will include full instructions and other supporting documents (FAQs, etc.). The deadline for the budget submissions is Friday, June 28, 2019. A more detailed timeline is available below.

Preparation for Workday
As you are aware, the College is moving from Banner to Workday, which will go live starting in January 2020 with our Finance and HCM (People and Culture) systems. To help begin this transition, we will be asking you to complete some additional steps to map your existing budget to the new Workday structure.

Attend a Training Session
We strongly encourage all Budget Officers to attend one of our May training sessions, which will help you prepare your 2020-2021 budgets and provide you an opportunity to learn more about how budgets will be structured in Workday. Please RSVP for your spot below.
