Help make the holidays special by joining the Langara Holiday Hamper team! As part of our annual Adopt-A-Family program, Financial Aid is reaching out to Langara departments who may be interested in preparing a hamper for our student families. It’s fun for the department and very rewarding for the families of our students.
You can choose to organize a hamper within your department, or give a cash donation to a specific departments hamper or to a general fund (new this year). The general fund will go towards supporting Youth in Care students and topping up department holiday hampers. Online donations will be accepted through the College Foundation website from November 14. Income tax receipts are provided for donations over $20.
If your department wishes to sponsor a student hamper, please contact email Jordan or Sharie at firstname.lastname@example.org by November 5. We will provide instructions and family details by mid-November. Completed hampers need to be dropped off to B009 on December 12 between 8:30 am–10:30 am.
