QAPA: Program Review Milestones
As Langara prepares for its Quality Assurance Process Audit in Fall 2020, let’s take a moment to acknowledge some Program Review milestones across the College. This term, Applied Planning, Design Formation, and Engineering launched their Program Reviews. A big thank you to the Chairs/Coordinators of each program who facilitated this process: Kathryn Nairne (Applied Planning), Scot Geib and Marcela Noriega (Design Formation), and Csilla Tamas (Engineering). We also recognize the ongoing support of Institutional Research (IR), who supplied data packages to each program, and launched faculty, student, alumni and (where applicable) employer surveys.
On November 15th, Recreation Management will be hosting its first external review site visit. During the site visit, a team of three reviewers, two external to the College and one internal to the College, will be on campus talking to students, faculty, alumni and administrators associated with the Recreational Management program. The internal reviewer is Diane Thompson, Chair, Library and Information Technology. Many thanks to the Recreation Management team for planning and hosting this site visit; TCDC for their work on Recreation Management’s Self-Study; and Diane Thompson for being a part of this important process.
