Bike To Work

May 30 – Bike to Work Week Celebration Station

Biking to work is exhilarating, prevents greenhouse gas emissions, burns calories and saves money.

Take up the challenge and reduce your carbon footprint.  Let’s make Langara a more sustainable institution.

Bike to Work Week is approaching.  The Metro Vancouver-wide event is organized by HUB, Your Cycling Connection, whose mission is to get more people cycling, more often.

Langara College has registered a team for Bike to Work Week. If you bicycle to work or would like to start this year, please join the Langara College team at http://bikehub.ca/registration. If you have registered between 2014 and spring 2018, you do not need to re-register, simply log in and then you can start logging your trip.

Once registered, you can map out your bike route on-line and log your rides.  Langara employees that log at least one bicycle ride during Bike to Work Week have a chance to win a Dream Bike Trip for 2 in Portugal from HUB and MEC gift cards from Langara College.

If you would like to start cycling to the College, Fulton Tom (ftom@langara.ca) can help with bicycle route planning and finding a bike buddy to cycle with you.
