Tuition fee reimbursement

At Langara College we want to continue to support our employees and deliver opportunities while providing the skills and knowledge to further your career path. Tuition Reimbursement is a great way to advance your career while focusing on your own aspirations and professional development.

Employees wishing to enroll in a course outside of Langara may apply for a Request for Tuition Fee Reimbursement. Reimbursement requests are only applicable to courses that are career/work related.

Step 1 – Employee completes Sections 1 and 2 and submits the form to a Department Budget Officer. The employee should attach the course brochure/outline. Employees should not register for a course until receiving signed approval from a Department Budget Officer.

Step 2 – Department Budget Officer completes Section 3 to approve the request. The employee retains the signed form and enrolls in the course.

Step 3 – Upon successful completion of the course, the employee completes Section 4 and submits the form to HR, attached with the following:

  • Proof of registration
  • Tuition fee receipt
  • Transcript (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)

Step 4 – HR completes Section 5. Once authorized by HR, the tuition free reimbursement will be processed and paid out by Accounts Payable.
