Rare Is Everywhere

Nurse-educator nominated for literary award

Deborah Katz, a member of the Faculty of Nursing, has had her book Rare Is Everywhere, shortlisted for the Vine Award – a Canadian literature award administered by the Koffler Centre of the Arts! Rare Is Everywhere was selected as one of three finalists for the award in the category of children’s literature.

The Vine Awards honour both the best Canadian Jewish writers and Canadian authors who deal with Jewish subjects in four categories; fiction, non-fiction, history, and young adult/children’s literature; each with a prize of $10,000.  The entries were reviewed by Beverley Chalmers, Joseph Kertes, and Lee Maracle.

Congratulations Deborah.
