Convocation 2019

Dear Colleagues,

This year’s convocation ceremonies are scheduled for June 20 and June 21 at the Orpheum theatre. This is a very special time for our students, their family, and friends to celebrate students’ success as they make the transition to alumni. It’s an occasion to reflect and celebrate all that they have accomplished since entering Langara, but also to look forward to exciting opportunities on the horizon. Unfortunately, this year’s ceremonies take place at the same time as an important family commitment: my daughter’s convocation in Ontario. Convocation is always a personal highlight of my year, and it disappoints me greatly not to see our students crossing that stage. Only a family commitment this important would keep me from being there with you all. In my absence Dr. Ben Cecil, Provost and Vice-President Academic and Students, will perform my duties.
