Mailroom renovation update

The Mailroom renovation project will be complete by early April. This much needed renovation will eliminate existing temporary mailboxes, organize existing mailboxes more efficiently, and provide room for future growth.

Please note the revised guidelines re: mailbox setup:

•Individual mailboxes will be assigned to permanent full-time faculty. There are a few exceptions including Theatre Arts which will have individual mailboxes for K. Shaw and D. Hudgins and 3 mailboxes for remaining faculty. Counselling, Library, and Library Info & Technology faculty will also have shared mailboxes.
•Departments will be allotted an appropriate number of mailboxes for term faculty. These will be shared mailboxes which will be divided by last name alphabetically, as needed.
•Shared mailboxes will also be set up for some departmental staff and administrative managers.
•Departmental bins for extra mail and parcels will be assigned to select departments such as LSM, RES, Library and Continuing Studies.
•Printshop will be assigned several shelves for print job pickup (print jobs will no longer be placed on the centre table in the Mailroom).

To ensure the smooth transition to the new mailboxes, we ask all employees to please do the following as soon as possible (ideally by Thursday, March 29):

•Clean out your mailbox to help with the transition from the old mailboxes to new mailboxes and reduce the possibility of mail getting misdirected
•Check and pick-up any parcels from your department parcel bin
•Do not distribute any promotional flyers, brochures or other handouts in employee mailboxes during the renovation period
