Pacific Blue Cross – contraceptives

On Tuesday, April 4 it was announced contraceptives (oral and non-oral) would be included in our extended health plan and this additional benefit would be applicable to prescriptions purchased as of Sunday, April 1, 2018. Click here to view the announcement.

Pacific Blue Cross (PBC) has recently advised they are working through a claim backlog and are unable to process this change in our benefits plan until May. Please note, any claims submitted for contraceptive coverage will receive a message that they are not covered under the plan. Once PBC has processed this administrative change on their end, they will reprocess all the declined contraceptive claims submitted April 1 and onward.
