Wear your best sweaters

Dear colleagues,

The Facilities team invites you to join us for National Sweater Day this Thursday, Feb 7 to slow down climate change. Dig deep in your closets, and bring out your favourite, coziest (and perhaps even wildest) sweaters to wear this Thursday and all throughout the winter season.

With the pipeline in Prince George still being repaired, building temperatures continue to be reduced at Langara in our efforts to conserve energy. The pipeline is currently operating at 85% capacity, and while we are getting closer to full capacity, we are not yet at the point where we can resume regular temperatures in all buildings. Our team continues to monitor the situation closely, reviewing and adjusting building controls when necessary. If you are experiencing office/classroom temperature fluctuations, please email facilities@langara.ca.

Make this the season a woolly one, and thank you for your continued patience during this time.

Mailroom – important update

Facilities staff will be migrating mail from the old mailboxes to the new mailbox system starting on Monday, April 23rd. To assist with the transition, employees are encouraged to empty out individual and department mailboxes prior to this date; and to deliver interoffice mail directly to the recipient’s office. Thank you for your assistance during this transition.
