Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Basic
We are pleased to offer additional spots for the MHFA Basic course in both October and November 2018!
The two-day in-house course will be offered twice this fall during the following dates:
- Session 1: Monday, October 15 and Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
- Session 2: Tuesday, November 27 and Wednesday, November 28, 2018
This course provides an introduction to the four most common mental health disorders including substance related, mood related, anxiety and trauma related, and psychotic disorders. Participants who take this course will learn the basic steps to interact confidently with those in their family, friends, communities, and workplaces that may be experiencing mental health challenges.
Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis and participants must be able to commit to the full two days from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
