Canada Post guidelines and restrictions for mailouts
Langara College processes a large volume of mail each year. In order to have outgoing mail posted promptly and efficiently please follow the guidelines listed.
Reminder: parking pass renewals
Please remember to renew your parking pass if you have a temporary pass that will expire at the end of the year or if you have a preferred lot pass. Permanent passes do not need to be renewed.
Updated procedures for office moves
As the number of office moves across the campus has grown significantly over the past several years, Facilities and IT have developed a joint online form to better capture information and help support these moves. Please see the article for more information on the updated procedures and guidelines to initiate a move for yourself, your co-worker or your department.
Renovations for meeting room B236
Meeting room B236 has been reduced in size and can now seat 10 people instead of 16.

Disruption of elevator service due to routine elevator maintenance scheduled for August 1-2.
Jul 1 – Landfill ban on styrofoam takes effect
In an effort to divert recyclable materials away from landfills, Metro Vancouver has introduced a landfill ban on Styrofoam packaging that will come into effect on July 1, 2018. Once in effect, the college will be responsible for ensuring that all StyroFoam is properly collected and sent to a facility for recycling. Failure to comply with the landfill ban will result in financial penalties for the college.
